A quiet but dangerous threat to American independence is taking shape in the halls of the World Health Organization. Negotiators from 194 nations are currently hammering out a global pandemic agreement that seeks to centralize health governance under an international banner. This treaty is a direct assault on the right of our nation to govern itself and protect the health of its own citizens according to our own values and standards.

The failures of the COVID-19 era were not caused by a lack of global coordination, but by a lack of transparency and a disregard for local wisdom. Now, the WHO wants to mandate surveillance systems and equitable access to medical countermeasures that would effectively give a faceless bureaucracy power over our domestic policies. This is the thin end of a globalist wedge designed to erode the authority of the nation-state in favor of a managed 'infodemic' response.

We must remain vigilant against any agreement that would allow international bodies to dictate how we treat our sick or how we manage our borders. True health comes from strong families, robust local communities, and the freedom to follow the best available science without political interference from Geneva. The Trump administration’s skepticism of these international health agencies is well-placed; we cannot outsource our national security or our personal liberty to those who do not answer to the American people.

Our health and our freedom are inextricably linked. By surrendering one to a global authority, we inevitably lose the other. We call on Congress to reject any treaty that subordinates American law to the mandates of the WHO. Our priority must always be the protection of the American home and the sovereignty of our Republic.
