Entertainment Capital Resurrects Deceased Rock Star As Interactive Hologram #
Jack Osbourne stood before an audience at the Licensing Expo in Las Vegas on May 20 to unveil a lifesized, artificial intelligence-powered avatar of his late father. Working in tandem with Hyperreal and Proto Hologram, the family estate has successfully converted the personality and voice of the Black Sabbath frontman into an interactive, monetizable digital asset.
"It’s kind of scary how it’s really very accurate," Osbourne remarked to the crowd. The synthetic performer will be deployed to physical touchscreens across the United States and the United Kingdom, capable of responding to fans in real-time. "He’s not just a chatbot, he can truly read the room," added David Nussbaum, founder of Proto Hologram. Despite pushback from legacy fans decrying the move as distasteful, the underlying financial logic is inescapable: biological mortality is no longer a terminal constraint on an entertainer's earning potential.
