Mohammad Baqer Saad Dawood Al-Saadi, an operative of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, coordinated a wave of bombings and stabbings across the West according to federal prosecutors. An indictment unsealed Friday in the Southern District of New York alleges that Al-Saadi worked through a new group called Harakat Ashab al-Yamin al-Islamiya. The group appeared "essentially overnight" following the outbreak of the recent military conflict with Iran. Prosecutors state that Al-Saadi used Telegram channels to urge his followers to carry out a jihad against American and Jewish targets.

The violence reached into the heart of Western cities. On March 15, a bomb struck the Bank of New York Mellon in Amsterdam, and on March 23, an arson attack targeted Jewish ambulances in London. According to the criminal complaint, Al-Saadi was also linked to the April 29 double stabbing of two Jews in the United Kingdom. His Snapchat account featured photos of himself with the late Qassem Soleimani, signaling his deep ties to the Iranian military apparatus.

This arrest comes as security services across Europe struggle to contain a "contagion of hate" that has seen a surge in antisemitic attacks. In London, police have arrested 31 suspects in connection with the wave of arson and bombings. The emergence of HAYI as a pseudonym for established militias like Kata’ib Hizballah suggests a sophisticated effort to bypass international sanctions and intelligence monitoring. The physical safety of faith communities in the West is now under direct threat from a decentralized network of proxy militants.
