OpenAI Gates Security Tools as Cognitive Enclosure Deepens #
Sam Altman announced the launch of a new cybersecurity platform called Daybreak. The system uses a Codex Security AI agent to detect software flaws. It follows the private release of Anthropic’s Claude Mythos model last month. Mythos recently helped Mozilla patch two hundred seventy-one vulnerabilities in Firefox. These tools are no longer public commons. They are gated under proprietary security enclosures for vetted defenders. OpenAI is working with government partners to deploy these cyber-capable models. The digital perimeter is being privatized. Corporations are now liquidating human engineers to fund these autonomous agents. This creates a structural dependency on private algorithmic labs. We are witnessing the automation of the digital commons. The elite secure their networks while the public remains vulnerable to slopsquatting. This paper identifies this as the terminal stage of the Cognitive Enclosure.
