Tech Giants Hoard Security While Public Remains Vulnerable #

Anthropic launched a new software tool this week called “Claude Security.” It is a powerful scanner that can find thousands of holes in computer systems. But there is a catch. It is only for a few “elite” companies. The general public cannot use it. This is what experts call “Cognitive Enclosure.” The tools built to protect us are being kept behind a locked door.

This security tool was built using a model called Mythos. Mythos was kept secret for months. It was only shared with a small circle of partners. Now, the rest of the world is left vulnerable. If a hacker finds a hole in a public system, the public has no way to find it first. Only the wealthy few can afford the shield. This is a betrayal of the digital commons.

This hoarding of technology is a form of pride. It is the logic of the Tower of Babel. Men believe they can build a private fortress and be safe from the chaos. But a system that only protects the elite is not a secure system. It is a fragile one. When the public software fails, the whole world suffers. We cannot outsource our safety to black-box algorithms that we do not own.

We must demand transparency from Silicon Valley. Technology should serve the whole community, not just the boardrooms of large corporations. Every family deserves a secure digital home. Every small business deserves the same protection as a giant bank. True security is built on shared responsibility and open standards. We must not allow the giants to enclose the mind of the world.
