Generals Run Iran as London Streets Face Blowback #
Mojtaba Khamenei, the Supreme Leader of Iran, is managing his country through a 'board' of generals from the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps. According to a report by The New York Times, Khamenei remains 'mentally sharp' but receives handwritten notes with updates from the outside world while the IRGC commanders run defense and foreign affairs. This board of generals is now directing a kinetic confrontation with the West, most recently seizing the container ships MSC Francesca and Epaminondas in the Gulf of Oman.
The violence is not contained to the Gulf. In London, police road blocks shut down the Golders Green neighborhood on April 29 after two Jewish men were stabbed. Police have identified the terrorist as a UK national from Somalia but have refused to name him. This is the physical price of Imperial Triage: as the empire's resources are sucked into the Persian Gulf to protect energy transit, the domestic core begins to fracture and bleed.
In Israel, the political theater continues as Opposition Leader Yair Lapid and Naftali Bennett announce a joint 'Together' run for the upcoming elections. Meanwhile, Netanyahu’s own testimony has been canceled yet again, citing 'security concerns.' The pattern is global. World leaders are either simulations, receiving handwritten notes in bunkers, or using 'security' as a shield to avoid the witness stand, while the people in the streets pay the price for their 'board meetings.'
